Where did it all begin?
Every adventure has a beginning — and for me, it started with a humble, hard-working Renault Trafic named Reggie.
I never imagined I’d be someone who loved vanlife. In fact, I used to hate camping. But everything changed when a close friend invited me along on a few road trips in her motorhome. That spark of freedom lit something in me — and I haven’t looked back since.
How Reggie Came Into My Life
I purchased Reggie in 2022, just after the world started opening back up again. He’d been lovingly converted by a professional joiner during lockdown — complete with a cosy wooden interior, clever storage, and just enough room to feel like home on wheels.
From the moment I took the keys, I knew he wasn’t just a van. He was my ticket to spontaneity, solitude, and soul-filling scenery.
Adventures With Reggie
Over the next two years, Reggie and I explored the length and breadth of the UK. From foggy mornings in the Lake District to wild camping in the Scottish Highlands, he became my partner in crime for every little weekend escape and extended road trip.
There was no agenda — just me, a camera, a map, and a desire to keep chasing the next sunrise.

The Van That Changed Everything
Reggie gave me the confidence to travel solo, to live minimally, and to embrace a life less ordinary. He taught me that home isn’t a place – it’s a feeling, and sometimes that feeling is found in a lay-by with a mountain view and a cup of tea in hand (or 2!).
In 2024, I took the leap and set off on a life-changing European road trip – and Reggie was right there with me, guiding me through 18 countries and over 9,000 miles of adventure.
He was the van that started it all. And no matter where the road takes me next, Reggie will always be part of the story.
